We are seeking an enthusiastic team member for a new role as Tekla Detailing Technician at Detail Connect Ltd in Mt Maunganui.
With exciting new projects in the pipeline for clients throughout New Zealand and beyond, a great opportunity exists to further your detailing expertise. You will bring your skills and experience to our small team, and run your own projects in a positive and supportive environment.
At Detail Connect Ltd, we pride ourselves on maximizing the use of Tekla Structures to provide an accurate shop drawings service to the construction industry in NZ.
We currently share 3D models with various Engineers, Architects and Fabricators, utilising BIM (Building Information Modelling) to its full potential; giving us scope to do more than just detail structural steel in the future and pave the way for an exciting future in the NZ construction industry.
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
At least two years experience on Tekla Structures V19 onwards, in the New Zealand market
A proven track record in providing shop drawings for fabricators
Microsoft office ? Excel, word, outlook, Office 365 an advantage
An understanding of construction engineering
Exposure to fabrication processes a huge advantage
Previous experience with other 3D modelling packages such as Solidworks, Inventor, 3D Autocad, Prosteel, Advanced Steel or Strucad
An understanding of the construction industry with experience in writing clear RFI?s
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Self-motivation and be willing to continuously develop skills in all areas and grow with the company
An ability to take a leading role and make decisions as required
A professional manner at all times
The role is based at Mt Maunganui, Tauranga, Bay Of Plenty, and hours are 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday.
Remuneration package will depend on skills and experience.
