Greg began his career an engineering cadet in Wiri mainly involved in estimating and contract administration. Returning from his OE, he took a job as an estimator and contracts manager with the company that he and his wife would ultimately purchase in 1987. Jensen Steel Fabricators Limited serves the dairy, timber, energy and pulp, paper and kiwifruit industries of the upper North Island . More recently, the company has responded to the structural steel needs of shopping complexes and high-rise apartments.

Evan has spent 28 years at Stevensons, headquartered at Tokomaru, where he is a director and partner with a staff complement of 80. They run three workshops. He is also a partner in an industrial roller door manufacturing company, which has a staff of 10.

Dr. Wolfgang Scholz is the Director of the NZ Heavy Engineering Research Association HERA. His professional background is in mechanical engineering (ME, University of Stuttgart), automation technology (PhD, University of Auckland), and welding engineering (European Welding Engineer). Following an industry career in Germany he set up the NZ Welding Centre at HERA in 1986 and took over the HERA directorship in 2000.
