Terry Carter joined Steel & Tube Holdings Ltd in a sales role in 1977, progressing through various Sales, Branch, Area and Senior management positions. He was appointed to his current position as General Manager - Steel Distribution in March 2007. He has a good understanding of the steel fabrication market from many years in dealing with fabricator customers up and down the country.

Dr. Wolfgang Scholz is the Director of the NZ Heavy Engineering Research Association HERA. His professional background is in mechanical engineering (ME, University of Stuttgart), automation technology (PhD, University of Auckland), and welding engineering (European Welding Engineer). Following an industry career in Germany he set up the NZ Welding Centre at HERA in 1986 and took over the HERA directorship in 2000.
