Understanding the Value of Steel

SCNZ launched this project in February 2015 with the re-formation of the Standing Committee on estimating which had been utilised on similar projects in the past. The Standing Committee on estimating acts as a sounding board for ideas; and enables SCNZ to test the market and gain insight from a ready source of willing volunteers. This Standing Committee currently consists of the following members:

Careers, Training & Qualifications

The purpose of this Standing Committee is to provide feedback from a known group of industry representatives to progress SCNZ’s Careers in Steel initiative. This project aims to increase the number and quality of young people entering our industry by defining career pathways, engaging schools and education authorities, promoting cadetships / apprenticeships / holiday work, addressing skills shortages, and increasing SCNZ’s involvement in careers events. This Standing Committee currently consists of the following members:
