  IMPORTANT DATES
The Organising Committee is pleased to invite you to attend
the "Ninth STESSA Conference" to be held on 14-17
February 2018 at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch,
New Zealand.

STESSA '18 will bring together academics, researchers
and engineers from around the world to discuss the latest
international developments related to the behaviour of steel
structures in seismic areas.

STESSA '18 provides a unique opportunity to visit a first world
city which is a living example of the STESSA theme.

Please see the above menu for the latest information on the
conference.

If you require any further information, please contact
stessa2018@scnz.org.
STESSA is the international specialty conference focused on the seismic
design of steel structures. The STESSA Conference will enable
researchers and practitioners to present and assess the results from
recent research on minimization of the earthquake damage, on seismic
retrofit, and on the collapse behavior of steel structures. Previous
editions of the Conference were held in Timisoara (Romania 1994), Kyoto
(Japan 1997), Montreal (Canada 2000), Naples (Italy 2003), Yokohama
(Japan 2006), Philadelphia (United States 2009), Santiago (Chile 2012)
and Shanghai (China, 2015).

At STESSA'15 about 300 participants from 25 countries participated. In
all, 204 papers were presented, and published in the Conference
Proceedings. Following the great success of previous conferences,
University of Canterbury was selected to host the 9th STESSA Conference
(STESSA18) in February 2018.

The main mission of STESSA conferences is to provide an opportunity for
researchers and engineers to share their research, technology
and expertise with their peers at an international forum.
