In September 2015 it was our great pleasure to host the second Steel Innovations Conference during Metals Week in the heart of Auckland city.
First launched in 2013, the biennial Steel Innovations Conference provides a forum for structural engineers, steel industry representatives, academics and students to share the latest knowledge in the design and construction of steel structures.
Over 150 delegates attended the 2015 Steel Innovations Conference at the Aotea Event Centre. Over 45 papers were presented at the two day event and key topics included seismic engineering, composite steel construction, fire engineering, durability, sustainability, cost-effective design and stability.
High ranking local and international structural steel design experts gave keynote speeches in the morning sessions followed by presentations in two streams over the course of the afternoon.
