Refund & Cancellation Policy

  1. Cancellation Period:
    1. Cancellations made 7 days or more before the scheduled event or course will be eligible for a refund or credit note, subject to the conditions outlined below.
    2. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled event or course start date.
  2. Refund Conditions:
    1. Cancellations made within 7 days of the event or course start date will not be eligible for a refund.
    2. Members and/or attendees will be required to pay their outstanding invoice if a cancellation is made within this 7-day period.
  3. Alternatives:
    1. At the discretion of SCNZ, we may consider alternative options such as changing the attendee’s name or transferring the booking to the next available course date (if applicable). This will be subject to availability and additional terms may apply.
  4. Notification:
    1. All cancellations must be communicated to SCNZ in writing via email or through our designated communication channels.
    2. Please ensure to provide sufficient notice for any cancellations to facilitate smooth processing and potential alternatives.
  5. Force Majeure:
    1. SCNZ reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events or courses in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, adverse weather conditions, or other force majeure situations.
    2. In such cases, SCNZ will make reasonable efforts to notify affected clients and provide suitable alternatives or refunds where applicable.
  6. Additional Requirements:
    1. Members and/or attendees are responsible for ensuring they meet any prerequisites or requirements for the event or course they are attending.
    2. SCNZ reserves the right to refuse entry or participation to any individual who does not meet these requirements or who engages in disruptive behaviour.

Code of Conduct - Events & Courses

At SCNZ, we’re committed to fostering a welcoming and respectful community at all our events. Our Events Code of Conduct outlines what we expect from everyone involved, including attendees, employees, exhibitors, speakers, suppliers, sponsors, volunteers, and other participants. Here’s a simple breakdown of our expectations:

  • Be kind and considerate, respecting personal space and common courtesy rules.
  • Be mindful of others to ensure a great experience for everyone.
  • Do not damage property; report any uncomfortable behavior promptly.
  • Unacceptable behavior includes harassment, discrimination, offensive language or conduct, and disruptive behavior.
  • Dress appropriately for a professional environment.
  • No physical or verbal abuse, threats, or harassment will be tolerated.
  • Alcohol and illegal substances are not permitted, except in designated areas for alcohol consumption.
  • Smoking is only allowed in designated areas.
  • Failure to follow venue rules may result in consequences.

Consequences for unacceptable behavior include immediate expulsion from the event without refund, and further expulsions from future events may be imposed. If you witness or experience unacceptable behavior, please notify event staff immediately. We prioritise confidentiality and safety for all participants, and our staff are available to assist at any time.

Additionally, we expect honesty, integrity, and fairness from all participants, avoiding conflicts of interest and discrimination. This code of conduct applies to all SCNZ events, and we appreciate your cooperation in creating a positive and inclusive environment.

Late Arrival & No-Show Policy

At SCNZ, we prioritise punctuality and respect for all attendees. To ensure a seamless experience for those who arrive on time, we adhere to the following late arrival and no-show policy:

Late Arrival Policy: Attendees are allowed a 15-minute grace period for late arrivals to our courses/events. Beyond this grace period, latecomers may be asked to sit out or miss portions of the event and may not receive a certificate of attendance.

No-Show Policy: Failure to advise us of your inability to attend, for any reason, may result in a $120 no-show fee.

Please note that any changes to this policy are at the discretion of the host or presenter of the course and/or event, with the aim of ensuring a smooth and productive experience for all participants.
